EDRG 3344 TR Talking

Talking in the classroom is very important. It lets the children feel like a part of the class and they're able to express themselves in a safe environment. Talking is very beneficial when its being allowed to be done and not while the teacher is talking or your supposed to be doing work. Talking lets us get our ideas out and share them, from doing this others can learn from you and you can do the same from them. From a young age this is important to get the kids talking so that they will feel comfortable doing it when they're older and be confident. We can do this as a class, the teacher talking, or in Small groups. Another form of talking is reading books to each other and talking about all the meanings of it, the children's ideas of what the book is about or what the outcome will be. Being in a non-talking class is not fun at all, you feel ashamed of yourself, and your the only one who feels that way, and it makes you keep everything bottled up inside, when really we should share it, because there are others who feel the exact same way. So be loud and be proud of who you are and what you feel.
